Ooh everyone beat me to the meaningful teachings of why you should not steal art...
Umm, fix your attitude? It makes you sound like an idiot when you claim they're yours first, get disproved, and go into the "fine fine fine I stole them I'll credit them now are you happy?" mode.
I feel sorry for people like you, who will put up a meaningless struggle until someone really pins it down.
And oops, I made a typo and used the wrong word. I meant "potential", not "prospering". Remember, in order to gain the skills and acknowledgment you want, you have to work for it. I'm struggling with my own styles because I can't seem to meet my own standards. You, however, have yet to go through such obstacles. You need to acknowledge the fact that art is pretty damn hard for majority of us out here, and it's not fair for anyone to just get a free ride. Selecting nice artwork out there, saving them, and uploading them under your own name is not considered "work".
I'm trying not to directly flame or harass you, because I know a.) it won't do anything anyway besides release my stress, b.) honestly speaking and not discriminating, but-- you have the potential of shutting down this account and creating another account for the same purpose anyway, and c) I try to be civil to everyone, as I find it works out better if I try to make sense and polite.
I hope you actually consider what I'm typing right now (as it is taking much valued studying time from me...) and don't do anything like this again. If you did it once, you might have done it before, and perhaps again.
But truly take into consideration the artist and the work they went through; the years of practice and time spent; their efforts, their frustration, their work and their dedication that brought them so far.
There really aernt any shortcuts in life. Hopefully you and other art thieves will notice that.
And damn, I sound so nerdy. ;D
(BTW, if you want to honor some other artists work, create a fansite for them in honor. If they want their art here in DevART, chances are that they'd make their own devart account already and don't need other people showing off their work for them.) Deviantart is for artists to display their own work, not a gallery of other people's-- for this, you can favorite other peoples work. Which is why that option exists in the first place.)
What a shame. Otherwise I'd really like Devart. (Aside from all those politics involved. But well, that's besides the point.)
Heck, as a prospering artist, I loathe even TRACING other art , even if it is only for reference. I feel guilty about directly copying other people's poses and styles. So take a moment to imagine just how dead guilty and degraded I would be for even THINKING about STEALING other people's art.
Well, I suppose some people just have no morality nor any integrity or self consciousness.
